How do I know what size unit I need?
5 X 5 Unit - Similar to a small closet & should hold several boxes, totes and small items.
5 X 10 Unit - Should hold one room of furniture and boxed items.
10 X 10 Unit - Around the size of a small bedroom and should hold furniture & boxed items from a small apartment.
10 X 20 Unit - About the size of a one-car garage, and should hold most furniture and boxed items from a two/three bedroom house. Can also store a car or truck and some other small items.

How secure is the facility?
We pride ourselves on our facility security! We are a completely gated storage facility with 24/7 recorded security surveillance! Access to our facility requires a private security access code to enter and exit. Each unit is equipped with a silent alarm for your protection and security. We require each unit to have a personal lock for added protection. We sell maximum security, stainless steel round locks for $12 + tax, for your convenience.
Is there a specific type of lock that I am required to have?
We do require that you have a lock on your unit at all times. However, what type of lock is completely up to you! We do recommend the round stainless steel locks, simply because they are more difficult to cut off. Round stainless steel key locks are available for sale in our office during normal business hours.
What kind of lease terms do you offer?
Our rental agreements are month-to-month and we only require a 10-day notice to vacate!
Is the rent prorated?
Rent is always prorated upon move-in! However, we do not prorate rent when moving out, we ask that you time your move out for the end of the month so that you get the most out of your rent. As long as the unit is swept and cleaned out upon move-out, the deposit that you put down will be refunded to you!
What fees are associated with renting a unit?
Rent will be prorated for each unit upon move-in and a refundable deposit is required upon renting.
What kind of notice is required to vacate?
We only require a 10 day notice to vacate! *Please note: NO RENT REFUNDS
When can I access my unit?
Facility access hours are 6AM-10PM, 7 days a week including holidays. Tenants are welcome to come and go as they please between those hours.
How can I pay for my storage unit?
We accept Visa and MasterCard, as well as cash, money orders and checks.
Online payments are not available, but we can take a payment by phone.
*Late fees are assessed on the 6th and 21st after rent is due and not paid in full.
Do you offer tenant insurance on storage units?
We do not offer tenant insurance coverage for goods stored with us.
What features are included in RV & Boat space rentals?
Unlimited access to our dump station and potable water are included in monthly rent of our outdoor RV & Boat storage.
Are the units climate controlled?
Our units are not climate controlled. They are all non-climate controlled, drive-up accessible units.
Tenant Questions
What day is the rent due?
Rent is always due on the first of the month. If rent is not paid by the 6th a 10% late fee will be assessed and then again on the 21st.
What is required if I want to move out?
We only require a 10 day notice before vacating. If 10 days is not given, the tenant forfeits their security deposit. The unit must be swept out, and no trash can be left. We do not prorate rent upon move out so it is best to time the move out for the end of the month.
How do I get my security deposit back?
Security deposits will be mailed out to the address of the tenant that Monument Storage has on file. Security deposits may take up to 30 days to be returned.
Can anyone else access my unit?
The only authorized users who can access your unit are the people listed on your account. Monument Storage cannot give out any personal information to family members or friends unless they are listed on your account.
Do you sell moving supplies or rent moving trucks?
Monument Storage does not sell moving supplies or rent moving trucks or vans.
